Heute: Drei Sherlock Holmes Pins
Sherlock Holmes sind meiner Meinung eine Grundausstattung für jeden Sherlockianer. Leider habe ich erst drei Sherlock Holmes Pins, bin aber immer auf der Jagd nach Neuen. Da ich relativ aktiv auf Twitter bin, sieht man immer wieder neue Pins und würde diese am liebsten sofort haben!
Eine tolle Erfahrung war in diesem Jahr 2018 eine Riesenanzahl von Pins in The Sherlock Holmes Collection in London zu sehen. Dorthin senden Sherlock-Holmes-Fans Pins aus den verschiedenen Ländern.
Pin 1: Sherlock Holmes Museum
Die bekannte Sherlock Holmes Silhouette im klassischen Design. Weißer Hintergrund. Schwarze Silhouette. Dies ist der „Standardpin“ aus dem Sherlock-Holmes-Museum, den man meiner Meinung nach immer noch kaufen kann. Toll finde ich, dass er in einer Pappschachtel kommt und mit Schaum ausgelegt ist. Auf dem Deckel ist in güldener Schrift: 221B.
Mein Großvater in Schweden, ebenfalls Sherlock-Holmes-Fan erster Stunde, hat übrigens mehrere als Reserve, da er auf einer Reise vor mehreren Jahren einen verloren hat!
Pin 2: Deutsche Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft
Für mich ist dieser Pin natürlich eng mit dem Eintritt in die Deutsche Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft verbunden. Dies ist der offizielle Mitgliedspin. Es gibt auch einen „Nichtmitgliedspin“. Für mich bedeutet dieser Pin, dass ich mich noch intensiver mit Sherlock Holmes befasst habe! Insbesondere gut gefällt mir das Detail, dass aus Sherlock’s Pfeife der Schriftzug „DtSHG“ kommt.
Pin 3: 221B
Ein absolut klassischer, sehr einfacher Pin. Der besticht das goldene 221B und dem blauen Hintergrund. Dabei ist die Farbe nicht einfach matt sondern glänzend und gibt dem Pin etwas Tiefe. Irgendwie hat dieser Pin etwas altmodisches und geht in die Richtung Vintage. Soweit ich weiß, ist der Pin ebenfalls aus dem Sherlock Holmes Museum und wurde meiner Meinung nach von meinen Eltern aus den 1980ern dort gekauft.
Today: Three Sherlock Holmes Pins
In my opinion, Sherlock Holmes Pins belong to the basic equipment to a Sherlockian. Unfortunately, I only have three pins but I am always on a hunt for some more. I see a lot of different Sherlock Holmes pins on Twitter which I would like to have immediately!
A very special experience was in „The Sherlock Holmes Collection“ in London where I saw a huge collection of pins from all over the world. Sherlock Holmes Fans send them there.

Pin 1: Sherlock Holmes Museum
It is one the most iconic pin from the Sherlock Holmes Museum in London in a classic design. White background. Black silhouette. You can still buy this pin at the museum. It comes in a cardboard box (no, there is no thumb in it…) where the pin is embedded into a soft foam cushion. On the cover 221B is written in golden letters.
By the way: my grandfather in Sweden, also a Sherlock Holmes Fan, has several of these pins because he has lost one on a trip!
Pin 2: Deutsche Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft (German SH Society)
For me, this Sherlock Holmes pin is closely related to my first membership to the society. For your first subscription, you get this one. This is the official membership pin. There is also a non-membership pin which can be bought in our shop. Furthermore, this pin is closely connected to my beginning of my Sherlock Holmes hobby. Have a look at the pipe smoke of this pin!
Pin 3: 221B
An absolute classic and very simple design. Golden-coloured letters 221B and a blue background. The colour is not matt but rather shiny and gives the pin a lot of depth. Somehow this seems rather vintage to me. If I remember correctly, this pin is also from the Sherlock Holmes Museum and was bought by my parents in the late 1980s.
